Vacancy: 1 Position

Salary: RM 6,000 - RM 7,000.00 (Highly depends on qualifications)

CGPA Requirement: 3.00 and above.

Role Description

Join our team as a Legal Associate! In this role, you'll dive into exciting legal challenges, conduct research, draft and review documents, attend client meetings, court hearings and trials. Collaborate with our experienced lawyer to provide top-notch legal advice and solutions to our clients. Start your thrilling legal journey with us today!

 Key Responsibilities of a Legal Associate

1. Manage and oversee all family law matters, including preparing documents and independently attending court proceedings,

2. Review and revise all legal documents before submitting them to the Legal Department Head for final approval,

3. Prepare and finalize interlocutory application submissions,

4. Handle the preparation and dispatch of letters of demand (LOD),

5. Conduct legal research to locate relevant case law,

6. Attend physical case management, mentions, and mediation sessions as directed by the Legal Department Head,

7. Promptly update the Legal Department Head on any issues within the legal department,

8. Ensure timely filing of all legal documents with the court and proper service of hard copies to relevant parties,

9. Ensure all court appearances are attended on the correct dates with no missed appearances,

10. Notify the Legal Department Head of any cases requiring their presence, including for trials and hearings,

11. Update the case tracker weekly to keep clients informed about the status of their cases,

12. Other relevant responsibilities of Legal Associate.

Qualifications

1. Attitude of doing the best for the clients who trust you to solve their legal matters,

2. Education: Bachelor’s degree in law and successful completion of CLP/BAR or equivalent qualifications and been called to the BAR,

3. Certification: Poses a valid practicing certificate.

4. Nationality: Malaysian citizenship is a prerequisite.

5. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.

6. Legal Research: Proficient in legal research tools such as Elaw, CLJ, or Lexis Nexis.

7. Software Proficiency: Proficient in using Microsoft Word and familiarity with Court EFS systems.

8. Experience: Experience in Family Law and capable of doing trials in Family Court.

9. Location Preference: Preferably residing in neighboring areas such as Subang Jaya, Puchong, Putra Heights, Shah Alam, etc.

10. Transportation: Preferably possess own transport.
